AromaFest is where the next generation of hops takes shape, and this year’s event at WEST Brewery in Glasgow was no exception. Hosted by Charles Faram, the festival gives brewers the chance to evaluate and influence new hop varieties before they reach the market. With only the best 16 contenders making it to assessment, we experienced a range of exciting aromas—from citrus and passionfruit to fresh gooseberry.
As British hop breeding advances, events like AromaFest ensure we stay at the forefront of innovation. With locally grown hops showing incredible promise, the future of British brewing looks brighter than ever.
